![]() ![]() at this point, the PC version with mods is easily the best version. not always nice to look at, but there are other solutions.įor Sonic Adventure specifically. ![]() I have an OSSC for use with my retro consoles and the DC looks. Original hardware has the most freedom in terms of library I suppose I got a Brook SD adapter earlier today that lets me use my PS4 pad on the DC, so the worst part about using DC hardware (that godforsaken controller and the screeching VMUs) for me is solved. alright, thanks for reading all that and for your recommendations! And hopefully the info collected in this thread might be useful to others besides myself. ![]() If it had all the big titles it would be ideal for me. Grandia 2 on the Switch, Rez Infinite on PC, Shenmue HD on Xbox, here we go! Wait for the Dreamcast miniįair enough, I was interested to see Sega say they were almost certainly doing more mini consoles and I know the Genesis/Mega Drive got good reviews. I said I didn't want to do this but feel free to tell me I'm wrong. But only if emulation doesn't suck.Īre there any decent Dreamcast-style retro controllers to be had? I've only found this one: Mix 'n match And it'd be more fun to set up a tiny "Dreamcast", for example I'd be all over setting up a custom case or buying a dead DC and putting a Pi inside it or whatever. But again, having a clean experience would be better to me. I don't have a high end PC anymore, just a Surface Pro 6 (i5), though if a Pi is good enough I assume an i5 is. But if DC is trivial and you can easily set it up a dedicated emulation device like a Pi and then not mess with it again, I'd be very interested. Is it good? I haven't really enjoyed stuff like Dolphin because it's super fiddly even for games that "work" - find all the right settings for every game, etc. I have no idea how good emulation is for Dreamcast except that I googled a couple lists for Raspberry Pi. Ok, so all of that said it looks like there are three main options: Xbox, original hardware, and emulation. I'm perfectly fine playing old games that look old.
